From toddlers to teens and everything in between!
No matter what their age, growing feet grow fast and so can your child’s foot problems.
In the first year of your child’s life, their tiny feet will grow to almost half their adult size and set many of the foundations of their mobility for life.
By age 12, your child’s feet will have grown almost to their adult size. It’s important to get your child’s feet, posture and function checked out – as it is an important step in preventing future problems.
Children can begin walking as young 10 months and as late as 18 months – normal has a wide range! However in-toeing, out-toeing or tip toe walking should be monitored and if these gait patterns persist a foot posture and function review is advised.
We all know how clumsy kids can be, tripping over every now and then. But if you’re noticing your child fall over more than usual, make sure you don’t hesitate and call us to make an appointment – as this could be a sign of a potential problem.
